Systems Engineer IV - Spectrum Reach

Spectrum Reach is in search for a System Engineer - Level IV. This is a senior-level role responsible for the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of server operating systems and related infrastructure software and hardware.

• Manage and maintain servers including monthly security OS patching
• Install, configure and troubleshoot server infrastructure
• Configure, install and troubleshoot hardware infrastructure
• Act as onsite lead for contractors as needed
• Work closely with architect group to design and implement future infrastructure
• Work closely with architect group to design and implement additional automation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud and datacenter components
• Implement robust security measures and compliance standards across datacenter environments
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, offering ongoing support, advice, and guidance
• Communicate effectively to address client concerns, provide progress updates, and manage expectations
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to security best practices
• Deployment and support of hyperconverged infrastructure including Nutanix, ESXi and Open Stack platforms
• Support and deployment of storage systems including EMC and Pure Storage systems
• Design and establish standard operating procedures and lead implementation of approved architecture and designs

• Architecture experience in large Hyperconverged Infrastructures utilizing Nutanix, ESXi and Open Stack
• 5-7 years supporting/developing Hyperconverged solutions and environments
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and rack and unrack servers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent project management skills focused on outcome based results
• Hands-on experience with automated tools such as Ansible and Terraform
• Experience with various scripting languages including PowerShell
• Expert knowledge of enterprise storage systems and protocols including EMC and Pure Storage. NFS, iSCSI, NVME over TCP and SMB
• Strong working knowledge of networking technology (i.e. function of TCP/IP) subnetting and routing.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory components including Group Policy, DNS, DFS, Group and User support
• Good working knowledge of industry hardware.
• Experience Windows Server 2016/2019/2022
• Experience supporting RHEL 7/8/9 and Rocky Linux
• Service oriented, positive, committed and enthusiastic team player
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
