Supervisor, Residential Sales Account Executives

Overland Park, KS

JOB SUMMARY
The Supervisor of Residential Sales Account Executives is responsible for developing and managing the sales performance for a team of Residential Sales Account Executives who offer best-in-class high-speed internet, advanced TV and Streaming, Mobile, and Voice services through door-to-door solicitation, relationship building, and community events. Our sales portfolios include single-family residential homes, existing customers, and new construction in an assigned residential area.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leader with skill and experience in creating excitement and energy, building and leading sales teams.
  • Supervise team members in a manner that enables growth and success through feedback, training, reinforcement, and encouragement.
  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding budgeted sales goals - Effectively guide team of Residential Sales Account Executives in day-to-day sales tactics to meet/exceed targets/goals by prioritizing and assigning daily / weekly / monthly sales objectives for team members.
  • Develops skill set of team members - responsible for coaching, training, and establishment of individual accountability to ensure objectives are met while maintaining their assigned sales portfolio.
  • Delivers regular feedback and performance reviews to ensure that team members understand how their job duties support the company's mission and have the right tools, resources, and support to do their jobs well.
  • Provide clear expectations and hold employees accountable when expectations are not met in a consistent and fair manner.
  • Identify knowledge and training gaps within the Residential Sales Account Executives team and develop improvement plans to address them.
  • Develops and ensures implementation of best practices that contribute to improved performance and overall success.
  • Responsible for meeting/exceeding budgeted headcount goals - Recruiting activities include interviewing Residential Sales Account Executives and providing a recommendation for potential hire.
  • Conduct audits to assess the effectiveness of sales practices and to ensure all sales are made in a ethical, fair and honest manner.
  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and initiatives in a fast- paced environment.
  • Be familiar with reporting and analytics necessary to drive and support business decisions.
  • Collaborate with other departments and or support teams to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Work allocated will consist of approximately 60% field work and 40% office work.
  • Communicate territory assignments to Residential Sales Account Executives.
  • Manage timecards, absences, vacation schedules in order to maintain adequate coverage to support sales goals.
  • Monitor the payroll process and ensure timely and accurate approval of all commission payments.
  • Manage employee relation issues, with a clear understanding of when to escalate as needed
  • Completes administrative tasks related to all sales activities and ensures their team does the same.
  • Maintains excellent knowledge of Spectrum's products/services, pricing practices and selling skills
  • Maintains current, in-depth knowledge of marketplace, including competition, and ensures relationships with customers, business partners, and co-workers are positive and professional.
  • Prepares reports as needed.
  • Perform other duties as requested by leadership.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English language.
  • Engaging interpersonal skills - Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Consultative sales experience with a focus on providing solutions
  • Proven networking, negotiation, and closing skills required
  • Attention to detail and ability to clearly document interactions.
  • Ability to listen, assess, formulate needs based sales strategies, and articulate direction.
  • Ability to travel (including during inclement weather) to and from assigned territories and company facilities using a reliable personal vehicle.
  • Ability to work outside for extended periods in any season and/or during inclement weather.
  • Familiarity with computer operating systems and software applications as well as consumer and commercial communication devices (e.g., PDAs, smartphones, routers, modems, set-top converters, and wireless devices).
  • Possess strong technical and computer skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate over the phone, email and WebEx
  • A valid driver's license, car insurance, a satisfactory driving record, and the use of a reliable personal vehicle.

Required Education
Bachelor´s degree in business or marketing, or equivalent work experience.

Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
2+ years of Outside Sales or related work experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

  • Experience leading a team of frontline sales agents selling data, voice and/or video solutions in the telecommunications industry, with an emphasis on data networking fundamentals and ability to educate consumers on related products and services as needed.

Preferred Related Work Experience and Number of Years

  • 3+ years success in a previous Sales Supervisory position.
  • Experience leading a frontline team of agents who conduct prospecting, or cold calling; direct sales experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Preferable experience in selling data, voice and/or video solutions in the telecommunications industry

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Field and Office environment: approximately 60% field work and 40% office work
  • Outside field environment with exposure to inclement weather.
  • Office environment: exposure to moderate noise levels.
