Sales Engineer One Thermal North England Scotland

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

This position is a highly sophisticated sales role serving various industries like the commercial, infrastructure, oil & gas, chemicals, pharmaceutical, power and food and beverages. The role will involve selling electrical heat tracing and thermal management products, services and projects either direct to End-Users or through a variety of different channels , e.g. Specialist Distributor, Wholesaler, Reps. or online distributors and projects through Contractors like EPC houses.

Your will report to the UK/Ireland Thermal Sales Manager and your objective is developing our industrial and commercial product and local project business. You will lead and drive profitable revenue growth for nVent Thermal through promoting and implementing effective product sales and growth initiatives. This is an home office based role, implying a travelling percentage of around 70% of the time, with minimal overnight stay required
  • Develop and implement a strategy for the North of England/Scotland in line with the UK One Thermal strategy. This strategy is based on a combination of direct product & project business based on value selling
  • Develop a strong focus on Upselling to each client request by understanding clients needs and identifying the hidden demands
  • Your focus will be on the Industrial Business and thus customers (direct), while you actively support efforts related to the commercial business and partners;
  • Build and manage account plans for the key accounts (EPC - End User - Partners)!
  • Coordinate and conduct training sessions, seminars, and lunch & learn sessions at key customer groups throughout the region on a defined basis
  • Focus on positioning Thermal products and service capabilities to all partners of a project at an early stage, to influence in becoming the partner of choice
  • Be always up-to-date regarding competitor activities, review regional threats, considering any hurdles to success and proposing an action plan to overcome!


YOU HAVE:
  • Preferable bachelor degree level or equivalent by experience in an Engineering field
  • Experience of an external sales environment and selling turnkey solutions in the industrial sector
  • You are highly motivated and dedicated individual passionate about achieving results
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred
  • A valid driver's license.

  • Detailed knowledge of one or more of the following fields Refining, Petrochemical, Chemical processing, Power Generation and Utilities industries
