Become \u00a0 a \u00a0 Principal Manager of Project and Design Engineering - Generation Assets \u00a0 at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this role, you will lead an organization of project managers, engineering project managers, analysts, and accountants to execute a capital portfolio consisting of over $100M annually. The projects are a mix of hydro, combined cycle, and diesel generation upgrades along with water and gas distribution. Each project has a unique scope and are located in some of the most exciting locations in California. You will be part of a dynamic team that leads the operation, maintenance, licensing, and expansion of the entire generation fleet for Southern California Edison.

Responsibilities
- Establishes and communicates enterprise-wide project management vision, policies, and objectives
- Advises senior leaders on project investments, strategic initiatives, and benefits realization
- Collaborates with executive leadership to align project portfolio to corporate strategy
- Leads project management community of practice to share knowledge and enhance capabilities
- Oversees the company's most complex and critical major construction projects and their staff, including multiple project managers and plays a key role in the development of the company's construction project strategy
- Acts in a senior leadership capacity during interactions with regulatory authorities and is a subject matter expert on regulatory environments for construction projects
- Ensures project teams implement advanced field solutions to technical issues related to foundations, structural integrity, equipment alignment, and system testing
- Oversees contractor safety, performance standards, quality control audits, and development of talented field professionals across the project portfolio
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Seven or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management.
- Experience developing enterprise-wide project management vision, policies, and objectives.
- Posses a valid Class C Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineering:\u00a0B.S. in Electrical or Civil Engineering with an expertise focused in Electrical, Civil, or Geotechnical engineering relevant to thermal and/or hydro power generation assets.
- Leadership: Experience leading engineering project managers with at least 5 years supervising a team of direct reports.
- Hydro Plant Knowledge: Experience operating or maintaining generation facilities, with thorough understanding of the mechanics and equipment involved in hydro plant facilities.
- Project Management Expertise: Proficient in managing a large portfolio of projects; specifically large Utility or Generation project budgets, schedules, project dependencies, cost controls, reporting, etc.\u00a0
- Governance Activities: Experience with obtaining project approvals, creating presentations, and communicating with senior leadership for project funding.
- Design Engineering Oversight: Skilled in managing contractors and holding a large contract workforce accountable to meet project cost, scope, and schedule, while ensuring quality in design and construction.\u00a0

- This position\u2019s work mode is\u00a0hybrid.\u00a0The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.\u202f Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and\u00a0reside in the state of California.\u202f Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.\u00a0The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
