Model N is hiring a Principal Consultant, Medicaid, for our Business Services team. The Principal Consultant will play an essential role in supporting Medicaid processing. Reporting into the Director, Business Services, Medicaid Principal Consultant is a subject matter expert that other operation team members may query and receive advice and guidance with questions in their area of expertise. We continually offer new services and solutions that align with our clients’ strategic priorities, compliance program needs and in support of their Medicaid rebate management programs. This role can be fully remote.
Responsibilities:
- Manage ongoing client relationships (interface w/clients to resolve specific issues)
- Responsible for review and approval of the setup and maintenance of customer contracts and data management within Model N systems.
- Ensure Medicaid rebates are processed and paid according to government and contractual requirements.
- Lead, review and approve Medicaid rebate deliverables to client.
- Oversee the analysis and review of monthly and quarterly deliverables to ensure reports are submitted in accordance with contract terms.
- Ability to handle complex and/or varying types of pharmaceutical rebates.
- Respond to customer and client inquiries regarding processing status, reconciliation questions, data discrepancies and payment status.
- Lead, manage, mentor, and develop Medicaid rebate Analysts.
- Collaborate with GP Pricing and GTN teams, participating in cross-functional meetings providing insights and information as required.
- Comply with all SOC controls and internal processes and procedures.
- Support ongoing software product testing.
- Expected to continually build detailed subject matter expertise and thought leadership in Medicaid processing and contracting and share this knowledge with direct reports and peer groups.
- Continually strive to improve our business services processes and programs to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- 6+ years of experience working in the pharmaceutical industry working with Medicaid agreements is required.
- Experience working in mandated deadline environment; effective management of multiple client assignments; ability to prioritize.
- Ability to continually build detailed subject matter expertise in Government Contracting Compliance
- Must be able to comprehend and/or learn complex government compliance requirements and retain, build upon, and apply this knowledge daily.
- Excellent oral and written skills
- High accuracy rate and attention to detail along with high degree of analytical skills; ability to produce client-ready deliverables to a high-level executive/professional client base.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and strong Excel skills.
- Able to manage multiple and competing tasks across functional areas is essential.
- Technical ability to understand underlying data structures and deal with large amounts of data.
- Experience achieving and maintaining compliance with all applicable regulatory, legal, and operational rules and procedures and activities are met with “best” industry practices.
- Ability to deliver required periodic results with a high degree of accuracy and minimal management review.
