Responsibilities
- This is a 365-day, 24/7 facility. Must be willing and able to work holidays, weekends, graveyard, swing and day shift as needed.
- Contacts customers to arrange for service to be performed; updates outage information (OMS).
- Supports storm order activities through the identification of problems affected by circuit outages.
- Assigns and updates orders to crews including trouble orders; arranges customer callbacks.
- Establishes, reviews and maintains logs.
- Analyzes and updates distribution system performance and trends.
- Maintains confidential customer information with a high degree of accuracy and dependability.
- Communicates with customers, management and crew members with tact and courtesy.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required

Minimum Qualifications
• One year of customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• One year of experience in a dispatch and/or call center environment utilizing computer, phone, radio systems to prioritize, assign, and dispatch orders.
• Experience with accurately entering data in a high pace environment.
• Experience with processing calls in a timely manner including monitoring radio, telephone and other electronic communications to provide accurate, concise and relevant information.
• Ability to understand and utilize appropriate notification procedures according to protocol.
• Experience monitoring customer calls due to circuit interruptions or area outages.
• Ability to provide thorough and accurate shift change information.
• Experience with Emergency Response & Accident prevention procedures and manuals and/or safety procedure systems.
• Experience interpreting geographical maps (e.g., Distribution Circuit Maps)
• Experience with distribution equipment system call out process and telephone systems.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Testing
• This position requires testing and applicants who are identified to continue through the selection process will be invited to test via email. Reference our Information Guides for the following tests: SCE Data Entry (Test #4101) and EEI SO/PD II (Test #5209). Candidates who have previously passed these assessment(s), in some cases, may not need to retest again for this position.
