Become a\u00a0Communications Senior Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you\u2019ll be a key member of the Integrated Communications Planning team, responsible for developing and executing strategic communications initiatives that support SCE\u2019s mission, reputation and business priorities. You\u2019ll lead the creation of integrated communications plans, craft compelling messaging and collaborate across departments to champion alignment with company goals.

This role demands a seasoned communicator who is not only an expert writer but also a strategic planner with the agility to navigate complex and evolving issues. You\u2019ll be expected to offer trusted counsel to senior leaders and business partners, anticipate challenges and deliver clear, timely and effective communications across a variety of channels. Your ability to reach the right audience with the right message at the right time will be critical to success.

• Leads strategic execution of communications strategy and measures the effectiveness for the relevant team\u2019s focus area.
• Drives communications that inform and educate, and when needed, manage risk and mitigate crises.
• Leads editorial development to establish a continuous and optimized presence across platforms (brainstorming, planning sessions, content pipeline, etc.).
• Translates business goals into communications strategies, tactics and messaging.
• Identifies opportunities to share success stories about big initiatives and company/departmental/team priorities.
• Provides strategic advice and counsel and develops standard work processes.
• Recommends and creates specific communications materials such as blogs, op-eds, fact sheets, site copy and key messages/talking points.
• A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

• Ten or more years of experience in Corporate Communications within a corporate and/or agency environment.

• Bachelor\u2019s degree or higher in Communications, Marketing, Business, Journalism or related field.
• 10 or more years of progressive experience in strategic communications, content development, digital storytelling or integrated marketing communications.
• Strong handle on AP Style and copy editing.
• Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills, with the ability to distill complex information into compelling content for diverse audiences across multiple platforms (e.g., intranet, websites, social media, email and executive messaging).
• Experience working in complex, fast-paced environments and across multiple organizational levels.
• Proven ability to develop and implement integrated communications plans that align with business goals and drive measurable outcomes.
• Experience in navigating complex issues and translating them into clear, actionable messaging.
• Strategic problem solver with attention to tactical execution and detail.
• Ability to offer sound counsel, influence stakeholders and collaborate across departments.
• Ability to express complex thoughts and plans through presentations / PowerPoint.
• A strategic problem-solver who is nimble, creative and able to manage multiple competing priorities under tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail, initiative and a commitment to continuous improvement.

• This position\u2019s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.\u202f Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.\u202f Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
