Become a Regulatory Policy Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you'll help develop and execute SCE's regulatory policy strategy to build the foundation for a safe, green, high electrification future.\u00a0 This role will support the team that leads key wildfire regulatory activities such as the annual Wildfire Mitigation Plan (WMP) and other activities with the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). Areas of focus include SCE\u2019s efforts to prevent wildfires in its territory, wildfire-related cost recovery, Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS), and forward-looking investments in SCE\u2019s assets to improve the grid.

• Identifies, analyzes, and communicates legislative and regulatory issues, as well as trends and emerging issues that could have a potential impact on the business divisions
• Maintains thorough understanding of pending regulatory proceedings, rulemakings and other initiatives affecting the company's business interests
• Establishes and maintains effective relationships with government, regulators, utilities and market participants
• Performs reviews of contracts to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and solicitation requirements
• Formulates company strategies internally for communication in the marketplace
• Maintains thorough knowledge of current regulations and potential developments of regulation and market design across energy markets and products
• Manages and tracks corrective action responses by ensuring actions are implemented and appropriately documented
• Advises business units on compliance with regulations and requirements for the marketing and sale of energy, and transactional and operating rules and guidelines
• Advises business units on regulatory compliance reporting, monitors and conducts surveillance of compliance processes and transactions, and conducts compliance investigations
• Participates in the development of regulatory strategies and policies that support business strategies
• A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

• Seven or more years of experience with regulatory filings/proceedings and compliance standards.

• Bachelor\u2019s degree in business, Economics, Public Policy, or related field of study.
• Experienced with regulatory deliverable management, comfortable managing scope, schedule and deliverables in a timely and effective manner.
• Experience with regulatory activities, including development and litigation of cost recovery applications before the CPUC or other California state agencies.
• Experience preparing written reports or deliverables in a business, regulatory, or policy context.
• Experience reading and interpreting guidance from state regulatory agencies or other government entities.
• Working knowledge of utility distribution assets and grid configuration
• Experience working with SMEs to develop responses to regulatory agency requirements.

• This position\u2019s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.\u202f Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.\u202f Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
