As a Manager in the Growth & Transformation team within the Luxury Division, you will play a key role in supporting the development and execution of strategies to drive scalable growth, leveraging data-driven insights. The Growth & Transformation team works closely with senior management across the luxury verticals and all Sotheby’s selling channels (Auction, Private Sales, Marketplace and Retail). You will work towards analyzing proprietary data to identify growth opportunities and produce research insights, optimizing digital marketing efforts, enhancing customer acquisition and retention, elevating the overall customer experience, and generally supporting on growth initiatives and strategic priorities across the division.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Analysis and Strategy Planning

  • Client Growth Opportunities:
    • Assist in developing and implementing client initiatives across the luxury verticals to drive profitable growth.
  • Collaborate in providing data insights to assist categories in improving merchandising and business strategies for the Luxury Division.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration:
    • Act as a key point of contact for product, tech, and data-related matters within the Luxury Division.
  • Investment Planning:
    • Provide input in driving prioritization and investment decisions to optimize results.

Digital Strategy & Ecommerce

  • Data-Driven Growth:
    • Utilize data analytics to drive scalable growth in customer acquisition, conversion, retention, and customer lifetime value.
    • Contribute to the establishment of KPIs and track progress towards growth objectives.
  • Digital Best Practices:
    • Collaborate in implementing and refining digital best practices to drive qualified organic traffic growth.
    • Participate in regular audits of landing pages to optimize for SEO.
    • Assist in ongoing optimization efforts for landing pages, consignment flow, email capture, and overall digital presence for the Luxury Division.
  • Content Strategy:
    • Support the SEO optimization of existing content related to all the luxury divisions.
    • Provide input on reviewing and refining evergreen content strategy to ensure creative and engaging content for articles, email campaigns, and social media.
    • Assist in developing cross-category marketing initiatives based on customer behaviour.
  • Marketplace Operations:
    • Provide analysis and support where needed to support the marketplace team across the Luxury categories
  • CRM Enhancement:
    • Assist in assigning high-value clients to dedicated Luxury Division specialists.
    • Support the organization of buyer-focused events to capture valuable customer data.
    • Provide input in creating a digital strategy tailored for top-tier Luxury clients.

Senior Management Support

  • Lead production of monthly luxury dashboards summarizing performance across the luxury categories
  • Assisting the Global Head of Luxury and regional/divisional heads on ad-hoc analysis and support.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor's degree required
    • Other post-graduate business-related qualifications an advantage
  • Post-qualification business experience (4-6 years), potentially in ecommerce, consultancy or investment banking, or in a business operations/strategic planning role.
  • Passion for luxury goods, fashion, and consumer trends, with a keen eye for detail and innovation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, with competency in data visualization software (e.g. Tableau) a plus.
  • Creative problem solver, energetic, and persistent.
  • Ability to develop networks and build trust of senior management.
  • Confident team player, capable of working well independently and as part of a busy team.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable multi-tasker.
