Job Summary

Directs and coordinates sales and commercial activities of technology and communications team within a respective Region to obtain optimum efficiency, economy of sales and maximization of profits. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of an assigned specific business segment. Assists SVP and other vice presidents in formulating and administering organization sales policies and programs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Participates in formulating and administering company policies and developing long-range goals and objectives.
  2. Directs and coordinates promotion of communications and technology products/services performed to develop new markets, increase share of market, and obtain competitive position in industry.
  3. Directs, coordinates and/or delegates activities of Districts and Branches in order to achieve goals and objectives.
  4. Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations, budgets and forecast data to determine District and Branch progress toward stated goals and objectives.
  5. Oversees staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop others to improve personal and organizational effectiveness.
  6. Confers with officers and other administrative personnel to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals, objectives, programs, or operations resulting from current status and conditions.
  7. Serves as member of management committees on special studies.
  8. Promotes organization in industry, manufacturing or trade associations.
  9. Directly or indirectly manages subordinate managers who are responsible for the effective sales operations and logistical execution of individual branches.
  10. Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to understand technology and communications landscape from a utility-based perspective, convey the organization's value proposition, and deliver maximal revenue and profit growth.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, legal documents or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to proactively navigate and respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence of strategic importance for both senior leadership and functional teams.
  • Ability to present information effectively to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors and respond to questions from groups of customers, managers, employees, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate and analyze financial data such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in order to solve practical problems where only limited information and/or standardization exists.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from four-year college or university and/or 12+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
