Technical Product Owner

Location: Minneapolis or any other Viking Electric location

Job type: Full time

Schedule: Standard Daytime hours, Monday-Friday (in office)

Salary: $65,000 - $100,000

*Compensation for this position includes annual salary, 10% short-term incentive bonus, and full benefits package offerings. The exact amount of base salary may vary based on experience and skills brought to the role as well as the geographic location of the role.

What You'll Do

Own, advocate, and manage technology solutions with a focus and alignment of Viking Electric business goals and high customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include product ownership, system analysis, solution development, solution delivery, project management, and solution maintenance.

You will...

  • Manage and participate in projects that are designed to improve efficiency in process and communication for the business. Serve as the liaison between business and technical teams. Elicit, define, and document functional requirements. Communicate updates, issues, and change requests through each stage of the project. Analyze, test, and review deliverables to ensure business needs are met.
  • Serve as the point of contact for vendors as it relates to assigned business and technology areas. Serve as the primary knowledge source for Viking Associates Information systems, including software and hardware support, issue management, enhancements, and change requests.
  • Develop and maintain Information solutions to ensure reliable interfaces between applications, databases, and associates (M365, Eclipse, active directory, license management, etc.).
  • Create, monitor, and maintain reports and reporting systems used to measure the trends of business processes and technology solutions.
  • Evaluate business and system functionality to ensure effective and efficient use of systems and to identify gaps. Work with Viking Electric associates and Sonepar technology teams in determining how to enhance systems to gain process efficiencies and solve business problems.

What You Bring

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3+ years developing, implementing, and supporting business technology solutions for all areas of the business.
  • Education: Four-year degree in business or technology related field or two years advanced education degree in technology with five years business or IT experience.
