White City House…

Located in the former BBC headquarters in West London, White City House features 1960s-style interiors, a state-of-the-art gym and rooftop pool and bar. The club features a screening room, a Cecconi’s Northern Italian restaurant, our Japanese restaurant Pen Yen with cabaret performances, plus daily music and event programming. In addition, we have 45 bedrooms housed within the original Grade-II listed Helios building.

The Role… 

We are seeking an experienced Reception Supervisor to join our team at White City House (W12 7FR). The Reception Supervisor is responsible for supporting and providing direction and leadership to the overnight Reception team. A successful Reception Supervisor will be a proactive and resourceful team player who has knowledge of Front Desk duties as well as Host and Open Table knowledge.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with guests, group contacts, members and other guests in order to provide personalized Soho House service.
  • Over see scheduled shift and insuring all tasks are delegated and completed.  
  • Resolve customer complaints, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible.
  • Respond to guests’ requests in an accurate and timely manner, creating a positive outcome that will result in a memorable experience.
  • Assist in the training, development, coaching, and mentoring for the department
  • Communicate within department as well as other departments on crucial matters
  • Assure the proper handling of VIPs. Protect their privacy and confidentiality.
  • To ensure the company culture is visible in all aspects of the business.
  • Take action in all matters related to the safety, security, satisfaction and well-being of employees, hotel guests and property. Responds swiftly and effectively in any hotel emergency of safety situations
  • Dealing with members requests, top quality customer service
  • Provide night-hour reception services for members to contribute to an overall exceptional experience from check-in through check-out
  • Ensure that the night checklist is complete
  • Complete night audits and reports as required in a timely matter
  • Able to work lone shifts
  • Reconcile accounts, verify transactions, balance revenue, and run end-of-day reports and Night audit. 
  • General phone etiquette.
  • Professional customer service etiquette at all times.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of Front Desk experience in a similar industry.
  • Must be okay with multi-tasking, answering high-volume phone lines and answering inquiries professionally (face to face), timely and to the best of your abilities.
  • Quick learner or have OpenTable, Salesforce, Google Sheets, Word and Canva a plus. 
  • Problem solving skills and bring conflict resolution to any anticipated or current matter
  • Detail oriented, articulate and ability to multi-task in a high-volume and demanding work environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Knowledge of hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, and other general product knowledge necessary to perform daily duties.
  • Flexible schedule and ability to work nights, weekends and holiday’s (as needed)
  • Team player who communicates well with all colleagues
  • Punctual, reliable and trustworthy

Expected working hours for a Reception Supervisor:

  • This role follows a 4-days-on, 3-days-off schedule with varying shift patterns. Shifts typically run overnight, starting at 10:00 PM and ending at 8:00 AM.
  • Average hours 40 hours per week
