Landscaper - Soho House Austin

The role…

At Soho House, the Landscaper is a creative individual with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills to ensure our property is always well-manicured and taken care of.

Main Duties

• Proper disposal of refuse as well as maintain storage areas and restock areas and back landing as needed  
• Collaborative team member, also reliable to work autonomously and proactively as needed
• Adhere to health and safety policy (I.e. OSHA and allergy procedures) is always followed as well as implement, monitor and enforce compliance with all Company policies, procedures, and standards and local, state, and federal law as applicable
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager
• Weeding and mulching landscaping beds
• Trimming small trees, hedges, and shrubs
• Removing unwanted, dead, or damaged trees
• Planting shrubs, flowers, and trees
• Watering gardens
• Interior plant maintenance
• Light outdoor furniture maintenance

Required Skills/Qualifications

• At least 1+ year of proven working experience as a Landscaper or Gardener
• Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
• Knowledge of chemicals and supplies
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
• Detail oriented, proactive and positive influence on team and all other staff
• Flexible schedule and ability to work nights, weekends and holidays (when needed)

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
• Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.
• Fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the club to others.
• Must be able to move, pull, carry, or lift at least 40 pounds.
• Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required.
