Role Overview
Sodexo is seeking a Human Resources Manager 1 to support our food service operations at Springfield City Schools in Springfield, MA. In this role, you'll play a key part in recruiting, training, and supporting frontline food service staff who help nourish students every day. What You'll Do
- Lead recruitment efforts for frontline food service staff, including job fairs and community outreach
- Manage labor planning, staffing levels, and scheduling to support daily food operations
- Support and oversee higher-level payroll systems and HRIS processes
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance team performance and compliance
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees, helping to build a positive and supportive work culture

What You Bring
- Experience in human resources, preferably in food service, hospitality, or a unionized environment
- Strong recruiting and talent acquisition skills, with a proactive approach to sourcing candidates
- Familiarity with payroll systems and HRIS platforms
- Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred
- Passion for making a difference in a school-based, community-focused setting
