Role Overview
Sodexo is seeking a General Manager to support our dining services at one of our prestigious clients in the North Bay San Francisco, CA area. We are seeking a talented individual who will commit to the challenges of creating and delivering a operational-culinary-driven upscale dining experience. This is a hands-on, working managers role requiring previous experience managing upscale food production, with retail and/or restaurant upscale full service management experience preferred.
The right GM for this location will have a very strong, proven culinary background as well, with some notable chef experience in their career as well.
What You'll Do
The successful candidate will:
- have oversight of day-to-day dining and culinary operations;
- control and ensure company and client financial targets and goals are achieved;
- ensure that the highest possible standards of food handling and preparation are achieved;
- provide technical training and expertise, coaching and leadership to the production team while working side by side in the operation as needed.

What You Bring
Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who:
- have a passion for a high level customer service and culinary arts, with a strong culinary production background, ideally in a healthcare or seniors services setting;
- at least 3-5 years of GM or Director level experience in a recognized concept or location;
- proven BOH experience as a Executive Chef, CDC, or similar in a recognized scratch kitchen environment;
- are able to develop trust and build strong client relationships while meeting the expectation of the client as well as Sodexo;
- have demonstrated experience managing a culinary team and exceptional human resource skillset;
- are hands-on, and have an innovative leadership approach to management;
- are able to work independently and make sound business decisions within company guidelines;
- have the ability to manage multiple priorities;
- possess strong financial acumen and experience managing a food service operations budget;
- are experts in compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.
