Role Overview
Sodexo is seeking a Food Operations Manager 2 (Patient Services) for Tufts Melrosoe Wakefield located in Melrose, MA. In this role you will provide food service leadership to both Sodexo supervisory staff and frontline hospital employees, supporting patient meals for this location. You will work primarily Monday-Friday, however you may occassionally need to provide weekend and/or open/close coverage, depending upon operational needs.
Tufts Melrose Wakefield Hosptial is a 150 bed commuinty hosptial offer all levels of acute care. Patient meal delivery system is via our At Your Request (AYR) program.
What You'll Do
- successfully coordinate all patient food services needs through supervisors and frontline staff
- lead a team of hourly employees by delegating, assigning and prioritizing activities, and monitoring daily operations in the kitchen
- manage menu development
- effectively schedule staff to meet business needs
- ensure HACCP, regulatory and standards compliance
- have daily interaction with patients, their families and clinical team to ensure patient satisfaction

What You Bring
- prior leadership experience in food services within healthcare, hotel, and/or restaurant environments
- a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills
- culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance
- ability to drive employee success to enhance the value of the food and nutrition team I
- prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
