Sodexo is seeking an innovative Food Operations Manager for Weber State University located in Ogden, Utah. Our successful candidate will manage 6 locations, a team of 60, and will report directly into the General Manager. Weber State serves 35,000 students, faculty, and staff and this Operations Manager will oversee day to day operations of this Campus Dinng account. The passion to serve innovative and creative food while managing food and labor costs within budget is a must. Successful candidates must be highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment including retail food concepts, both local and national brands. Founded in 1889, Weber State University prides itself on excellent teaching, providing access to educational opportunity, and its active role within the community.
Typical schedule is Monday-Friday
Varied Hours to include Day & Afternoon Shifts
(based on business needs that may include some weekends depending on event and catering commitments)
What You'll Do
- Five or more years of experience in a food service management role, preferably within a campus or other high volume setting preferred
- Meet high expectations for customer service and quality of food
- Have strong food safety and sanitation and HACCP standards, and ensure Sodexo standards are met
- Ability and willingness to develop and train hourly employees
- Passion for food and innovation
- Deliver high quality food service and support catering events of all sizes
- Develop and maintain client and customer relationships

What You Bring
- Have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively
- Have culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance
- Can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service
- Demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo systems and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience. This is only for internal candidates as external candidates won't have this knowledge

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
