Sodexo Corporate Services has an exciting new Food Operations Manager opportunity at our MIT Lincoln Labs account in Lexington, MA. The Food Operations Manager will be responsible for three café locations on our corporate campus.

The Food Operations Manager will function as a hands-on manager with responsibility for purchasing, and employee scheduling/training/coaching.

We are seeking an individual with a proven track record of growing revenue and increasing customer satisfaction scores. The ability to think creatively and implement fresh ideas to increase sales is imperative. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a retail business dining location that offers a high-quality culinary program.

The Food Operations Manager will oversee the day to day operation of the corporate cafe and catering. Other duties include but not limited to:

  • Overseeing the menus and updating the POS system
  • Ordering
  • Inventory
  • menu planning
  • Simply to go program
  • Cafe special events, theme days, signage and decoration
  • Manage the catering program - start to finish
  • Safety and Sanitation
  • Use automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems (FMS, Retail Ranger and Cater Trax).
  • Leading and developing a team up to 5 hourly employees

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
