Unit Description:

Hard Rock Stadium serves as the home venue for several sports teams and hosts a variety of events. It is the home of the Miami Dolphins NFL team. It is also the venue for major college football games, including the Orange Bowl and the University of Miami Hurricanes home games. The stadium is a prime location for large-scale events, including concerts by major artists, festivals, and other sporting events like motorsports, tennis, and more.

Job Overview:

The Accounting Manager supports the financial operations of the organization, with a specialized focus on revenue reconciliation, accounts receivable, and event day labor tracking. This role is essential to ensuring timely and accurate revenue reporting, efficient receivables management, and effective labor cost tracking for event operations and supporting financial compliance within a fast-paced food and beverage environment. The Accounting Manager will partner with the Controller, operations team, and other department heads to ensure the financial integrity of the unit and that Sodexo Live! standards for accuracy, efficiency and quality are upheld.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily and event-based revenue reconciliation, ensuring all sales data is accurately captured and balanced across POS and reporting platforms.
  • Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payment application, aging analysis, and collections follow-up.
  • Track and reconcile event day labor hours and costs, collaborating with HR and operations to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Assist with month-end closing tasks, including journal entries, labor accruals, and reconciliation of key accounts.
  • Support internal controls related to cash handling, sales reporting, and payroll cost allocations.
  • Provide financial reporting and analysis related to event profitability, revenue trends, and labor efficiency.
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes, particularly related to event labor planning and revenue projections.
  • Collaborate with the Controller on audit preparation, policy compliance, and financial best practices.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Associates degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, food & beverage, or event-based environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with POS and accounting software.
  • Experience with revenue cycle management and labor cost tracking is highly preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in support of live events.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively with both finance and operational staff.
  • Initiative in identifying and resolving problems timely and effectively.
  • Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
