Growth Program Manager - International Markets

We’re looking for a Senior Program Manager to strategize, coordinate and drive our growth into new markets and new audiences. Working from our Los Angeles HQ, you will help define and manage our strategic growth initiatives into new markets and audiences in coordination with our entire HQ organization and our in-market leads. You will provide guidance and business critical intelligence to the organization about our community growth, project manage cross-functional initiatives, and be a trusted partner to our local market development teams.

In this role, you will own one of the following markets: US, India, Mexico, Brazil, Italy, Spain, or Japan

What you’ll do:

  • Act as a single-threaded accountable owner at HQ for market-specific growth and act as a point person from HQ for in-market teams

  • Partner with our local market development teams to set market-level strategies and goals

  • Create and manage process to drive market specific product requirements and resolve core issues 

  • Establish performance measurement criteria and program management rigor to measure the impact of market growth plans

  • Develop and monitor KPIs associated with market growth goals

  • Create cross-functional project and execution plans and calendars

  • Ensure project plans are properly resourced and funded

  • Project manage cross-functional execution of our market development plans

  • Develop and manage feedback processes between in-market teams and HQ functions such as product, localization, and content

  • Partner with our data science and insights teams to generate actionable strategic insights and build our measurement tools for our growth programs

  • Work with in-market teams to develop market-level insights including market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive dynamics, with a focus on identifying growth levers

  • Identify areas of emerging opportunities and risks based on metrics trends on a timely basis

  • Present results, learnings, and recommendations based on program and campaign performance

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Experience developing and executing on strategies and playbooks for launching products into new markets and market segments

  • You drive process improvements, always contributing actively to conversations and workshops as well as proactively suggesting new more efficient ways of working

  • Extremely strong project management capabilities

  • Ability to influence & partner with key internal stakeholder teams: senior leadership, product, design, brand marketing, and finance to ensure shared vision and drive initiatives forward

  • Ability to initiate and drive complex cross-functional projects to completion with minimal guidance

  • A team player who can collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders

  • Excellent presentation skills and comfort presenting to and communicating with senior leadership

  • Excellent analytical skills and comfort dealing with large data sets

  • Experience working with geographically dispersed teams across time-zones

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an analytical field (e.g. Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent years of experience

  • 8+ years working in Operations, Strategy Consulting, Corporate Strategy or Business Development, Project Management or similar function for a high-growth company.

  • 4+ years of experience leading high-visibility cross-functional work streams with proven experience launching product or programs into new markets and market segments

  • Experience working with data visualization tools and in interpreting trends from vast amount of data

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
     

Preferred qualifications:

  • Proficiency with SQL

  • Ability to structure problems and develop / test hypotheses in a logical and streamlined fashion

  • Experience in modeling and forecasting

  • In-market experience launching new products or programs

  • Experience in performance marketing

  • A passion for Snapchat and creativity!
