TECHNICAL WRITER - EL SEGUNDO, CA 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interact cross functionally with engineers, project managers, pilots, and other key stakeholders to architect, create, edit, and publish technical documentation such as operating and maintenance manuals, training materials, and more
  • Support documentation alignment with version control software and release systems in order to manage overall documentation quality
  • Develop clear and concise documentation to reduce the probability of future error, working with stakeholders to understand user needs
  • Gather feedback and consider all relevant data to improve existing and future documentation
  • Support in organizing, coordinating, and tracking documentation tasks to align with both team and company-wide goals
  • Establish and uphold Skyryse documentation standards

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors of Science degree in Communications, STEM, or other related field
  • 8+ years of technical writing experience
  • 5+ years of experience in the aerospace industry

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with S1000D technical publication standards
  • Master of Science in Communications, STEM, or other
  • Experience working at a startup
  • Product Launch / Full Lifecycle experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and other authoring tools
  • A portfolio of writing samples to review
