The Product Documentation team is looking for a Technical Writer to partner with our product teams to produce, enhance, and maintain the documentation for core product functionality, including workforce engagement management. You should have a passion for figuring out what users need, an ability to take advanced features and make them easy to understand and use, and provide creative ideas on how to best organize and deliver content to make users successful.

  • Create high-quality user documentation to help our users be successful with Zendesk
  • Improve the overall quality of the documentation by responding to internal and external feedback
  • Interact with customers and customer-facing teams to understand how customers use our products and what they need to be successful
  • Build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, support, and customer success

What you bring to the role

  • 5+ years experience as a technical writer, preferably documenting cloud-based software products
  • Excellent technical writing skills and a superior grasp of written English
  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines
  • Ability to work well independently and in a collaborative, team environment
  • Experience working with DITA XML format and a DITA authoring tool
    (we use Oxygen Author)
