Strategic Marketing & AI Applications Intern
Global Sales & Customer Success - Trending Solutions
The Trending Solutions organization is responsible for developing new, compelling software applications used by employees of Siemens Digital Industries Software. Our employees need extensions to existing application functionality as well as support for entirely new use cases. This is more than an internship - it's a launchpad for your career. You'll apply your education to solve real-world problems, gain hands-on experience, and become a valued member of a high-impact team.
Our team is part of the Siemens' Global Sales & Customer Success organization and is responsible for developing and applying cutting-edge tools - including AI and digital media - to support global go-to-market strategies. Interns on our team are not just observers - they are core contributors. We've proudly built a reputation for our interns, known as "The Bearcats", who consistently deliver high-value work that impacts our business.
In this role you will become part of a core team that is responsible for application development. You will have the opportunity to work with other development teams for integrating our applications into their systems. For an average day, about 80% of the time will be analyzing, designing, programming, debugging and modifying software enhancements. The remainder of the time will be spent interacting with product managers and key users to define system requirements. You will play a key role in developing software from conception to production.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and apply AI tools in a sales and marketing environment
- Conduct market research and support global business development
- Create and manage digital and social media content (SEO, campaigns, analytics)
- Collaborate with a global audience of colleagues and stakeholders
- Work with technologies such as:
- HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, AngularJS, Bootstrap
- Java, SQL, REST APIs, Git, Eclipse, Visual Studio Code
- Charting libraries (Chart.js, Highcharts), BPMN.io
- Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
What we are looking for:
- Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in a university program (Business, Marketing, Information Science, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science preferred)
- Strong coding skills in Object-Oriented programming (preferably Java)
- Sharp and tenacious trouble shooting skills
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, investigative, and communication skills
- Demonstrated interest or experience in:
- AI platforms (e.g., building bots, GPTs)
- Digital media and content creation
- Social media marketing and SEO
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint

The hourly range for this position is $18.00 to $50.00. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's work location, as well as degree type and relevant education.
