Software Engineer Senior - Compiler

The Senior SoftwareDevelopment Engineer will have responsibilities in development and improvementof the part of the compiler that analyzes the customer design in order to mapit on the emulator resources. This includes analysis of clock anddata networks, partitioning, placing and synthesis of logic to support themapping of the customer design onto the emulator. The individualwill participate in design and implementation of new functionality for thispart of the compiler as well as support current functionality. The work will bemostly in C++ on Linux. They will write system level tests that usesoftware simulation as well as develop new testing methods. This positionwill include interaction with other software teams as well as HAV hardwareteams in an international, multi-site, development environment.

Job Qualifications:

Required Skills:

• BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering + 8 years of EDA industry experience OR MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering + 5 years of EDA industry experience OR PhD in Computer Science or Computer Engineering + 2 years of EDA industry experience.
• The EDA industry experience should be in software development developing large C++ applications as part of a team.
• Demonstrated experience with algorithm and data structure design.
• Understanding of gate level digital logic design.

Desired Skills:

• Demonstrated Experience in EDA software development, especially in timing analysis, synthesis, design partition or placement is a plus.
• Software engineering skills with experience in use of Unix/Linux OS.
• Demonstrated experience with software testing methods.
• Experience in use of Hardware description language (Verilog/Vhdl).
• Experience in use of a software simulation tools (Modelsim, etc).
• Knowledge of scripting languages (PERL or Python).

The salary range forthis position is $121,400 to $218,500 and this role is eligible to earnincentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on thesuccessful candidate's work location as well as additional factors, includingjob-related skills, experience, and relevanteducation/training.
