We are looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist to make a difference and be part of our digital transformation!

Overview:

This role will be responsible for the end-to-end administration of inhouse payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while ensuring full compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate should be familiar with statutory regulations, income tax, and the implications relating to international employee transfers, severance schemes and new payroll policies.

This role is part of the regional payroll team that administrates payroll for 16 countries, reporting to the Regional Payroll Leader.

What will you do?
  • Manage the full spectrum of inhouse payroll processing across multiple countries; Singapore, Malaysia, and Australia. This includes periodic payroll activities (eg. monthly/quarterly/annual) such as employee income tax filing and year end statutory adjustments.
  • Partner with Payroll Processors to ensure payroll deliverables, payroll timelines and payroll accuracy are met. Ensure compliance with work processes, internal controls, company policies and legislative policies.
  • Check payroll results, payroll reports, bank files, statutory and tax filing documents.
  • Partner with Payroll Processors to improve payroll processing timeliness and quality of work.
  • Ensure proper payroll documentation and storage are done; document retention, document maintenance and document creation. This includes participating in the development or adjustment of procedures related to payroll operations. Maintain/Create Standard Operating Procedure documentation.
  • Participate in Country/Regional/Global Projects.
  • Drive payroll system enhancements. Partner with Payroll Processors on system UAT.
  • Point of Contact for Escalation; manage partners, stakeholders, and system vendor.
  • Analyze complex matters requiring comprehensive knowledge of payroll policies and procedures. Respond to employee queries within stipulated timeframe as per service level agreement. P rovide appropriate advice to stakeholders and be a mentor to peers.
  • Embed continuous improvement as part of our DNA to provide seamless employee experience.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
  • At least a Bachelor's Degree in Business/HR/Mathematics/Accounting/Finance.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on payroll experience, preferably in a multi-country capacity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to detail, analytical skill, and ability to manage sensitive data with maturity and confidentiality.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across cultures and functions.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • An appetite to learn. Independent, time-conscious and organized.
