Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Business Finance Controller. This role can be hybrid in Richmond, Canada or Boston, US or remote as needed.
As a Business Finance Controller in Innovation at Edge within Schneider Electric, you'll play a pivotal part helping the company find the next big opportunity in a fast changing industry, and collaborate with strong, supportive leadership, providing ample learning opportunities.
What will you do?
- Lead Quarterly Forecast Process for Prosumer NAM Hardware business
- Conduct Financial Analysis: Perform detailed analyses of financial data, including revenue, expenses, margins, and other key performance indicators to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop Financial Models: Create and maintain financial models to forecast future performance, evaluate potential scenarios, and support business planning.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with commercial, execution, and customer excellence teams to gather relevant data and insights, ensuring comprehensive analysis.
- Prepare Reports: Generate comprehensive reports that summarize findings, highlight trends, and provide actionable recommendations for senior management.
- Identify Opportunities: Analyze financial performance to identify strategic opportunities for improvement, cost savings, and revenue enhancement.
- Support Decision-Making: Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support key business decisions and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure Data Integrity: Maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial data used in decision-making processes.
- Monitor Metrics: Regularly review and interpret financial metrics, focusing on areas such as margin, cost budgeting, utilization, and renewal rates.
- Assist in Closing Processes: Support month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure audit-ready records and timely accounting transactions.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA, CFA or CPA preferred.
- Proven experience in financial management, preferably within a similar industry
- At least 5+ years of experience in financial roles including accounting, auditing, financial analysis, finance business partnering, and FP&A
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem solving skills and results oriented mentality
- Proficiency in financial analysis, performance measurement, and business case evaluation.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills ability to influence and align diverse groups toward common goals
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (SQL, Tableau, SAP/Oracle or equivalent
The compensation range for this full-time position, which includes base pay and short-term incentive, is $106,000-$160,000 for candidates who are B.C. residents. Our salary ranges are determined by including roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
