About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Project Senior Manager to lead a team of project professional and engineers in fulfilling Schneider Electric large Data Center Customer project orders, starting from project initiation to final customer handover. The mission is to complete the project within given resources, time frame, budget, safety requirement while attaining high customer satisfaction. Customer data center project orders may include multi business unit system offerings, integration, other 3 rd parties work, engineering, submission, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, and documentation.

What will you do?

  • Taking over from tendering team for project initiation, with validation and preparation of project charter, specification, costing, commercial terms, and conditions validation...etc
  • Preparation and chairing of project kick off meeting and subsequent periodical project meeting
  • Being the Schneider Electric customer main contact point over whole of execution phase from project kick off till project handover.
  • Supervision of with each sub package project manager, design & application engineers in completion of design or any open technical clarification.
  • Preparation and review with the team of all project related submission e.g design approval, FAT script, installation Method, risk assessment....etc
  • Attend and support the team in major meeting and activities.
  • Accountability of all site activities and requirement e.g, Health & safety requirement, delivery, installation, commissioning.... etc
  • Develop and alignment overall project schedule with respective project managers and communicates with all stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are being met.
  • Support Schneider execution team in any customer project meeting discussion whenever required e.g progress reporting, problem resolution, variation works, schedule adjustment...etc
  • Conduct periodical internal project manager progress review, coaching of team members, discussion facilitation and support any escalation matters
  • Conduct periodical internal project financial review with project financial controller and project manager
  • Lead internal periodical management project reporting meeting

What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
  • Good industry knowledge of Data Centre or mission critical Industry
  • Proactive, self-starter and a team player and ability to work in fact pace matrix environment
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  • Proficient in both English and Japanese
  • People management skills

Who will you report to?
  • Director, Secure Power Application Center, East Asia & Japan

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution
  • >10 years' experience in project management of which >5 years in leadership role of managing a team
  • PMP Certified preferred
