Scope

  • The Global Order Experience Portfolio Manager plays a critical role in understanding customer needs, analyzing business requirements, evaluating cost and strategic alignment, and prioritizing initiatives through the delivery process. Acting as the single point of contact for business requirements across all Schneider Electric Business Units, countries, and regions, this role ensures coherence and efficiency in the Order Experience landscape.


  • The scope is global, supporting Schneider Electric employees in more than 80 countries where order management capabilities are deployed. It includes coordination with partners across various personas, covering all acquisitions and brands. The Order Experience spans from price and availability inquiries to commercial returns, and encompasses Schneider Electric's full offering-products, equipment, solutions, software, and services-across the three ordering flows: Automated, Self-service, and Assisted.

Impact
  • The Global Order Experience Portfolio Manager, reporting to the Order Experience PMO, is responsible for identifying and capturing operational, divisional, and strategic demands. This includes overseeing new developments, enhancements, and issue resolutions across ordering services. The role ensures that the annual portfolio is delivered on time, within budget, and in line with stakeholder expectations-while flexibly adapting to new priorities and communicating any changes effectively.

Contribution
    • Drive customer and business value by ensuring seamless, innovative, and consistent ordering experiences globally.
    • Act as the strategic link between business needs and technical delivery teams.
    • Champion cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement across Order Experience initiatives

What will you do?
  • Portfolio Management:
    • Collect and manage business requirements through established channels, ensuring visibility and prioritization of all relevant inputs.
    • Analyze needs, coordinate assessments and estimates, and evaluate strategic alignment before prioritizing in the delivery pipeline.
    • Oversee the Order Experience portfolio roadmap across Self-service, Automated, and Assisted flows.
    • Align capacity planning with Business Units, Operations, and Programs (e.g., CXCT, DCR).
    • Collaborate with project managers to ensure successful, timely, and budget-conscious project delivery.
    • Support teams in removing blockers and escalating issues proactively.
    • Conduct monthly reviews to monitor progress across all portfolio streams.
    • Prepare executive-level reporting for quarterly leadership reviews, highlighting deliveries, risks, blockers, and mitigation plans.

    Financial Controlling:
    • Manage the 2025 Order Experience budget and ensure financial performance through regular checkpoints with business process owners and project managers.
    • Lead the 2026 budget planning exercise in alignment with future strategies.
    • Maintain up-to-date financial tracking and alignment with Domain and Digital teams for accurate quarterly reporting.
    • Collaborate with finance controllers to continuously improve budget management practices.
    • Act as the primary liaison with leadership and Finance Business Partners on financial matters.

    Governance:
    • Organize and lead governance meetings with key stakeholders and internal teams.
    • For sponsors and stakeholders: QBRs, RFs, Steering Committees, Interlocks.
    • Internally: Team meetings, workshops, and collaboration sessions.
    • Provide comprehensive updates during program and project reviews.

Language requirements: Business English - Full professional proficiency

What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
  • Higher education degree in Project/Program Management, Business, Marketing, or related disciplines.
  • Strong portfolio management expertise-especially in prioritization, execution, and budget oversight.
  • Minimum of 5 years (preferably 10+) of experience managing large, complex project portfolios.
  • Proficient in both Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies.
  • Adept at working in international and culturally diverse environments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage cross-functional teams and senior leaders.
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Comfortable working autonomously and under pressure in fast-paced environments.
  • Confident in aligning diverse teams and managing interdependencies effectively.
