This position assists in managing the entire manufacturing operations in one Cavite facility, supporting the Plant Director. You are expected to have strong leadership capabilities in handling a high amount of manpower in a Manufacturing Industry and possess strong communication skills in coordinating with various manufacturing support/cross-functional groups. The person is an expert in management skills such as PLOC (Plan, Lead, Organize and Control), and DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control).
The role involves delivering on-time availability of products, such as improvements in productivity, yield and quality, the accuracy of materials and F/Gs inventory, and maximizing utilization of all resources, including but not limited to manpower, equipment and utilities.
You will provide customer satisfaction and meet the requirements of 3rd party audits and full support to statutory compliance. Ensure a conducive work environment and strong involvement in continuous improvement.
What will you do?
Essentials Functions
- Ensure product availability that conforms to customers' quality standards
- Ensure inventory accuracy to include materials and finished goods (F/G)
- Meet customer satisfaction, 3 rd party audit and target to achieve 100% Statutory Compliance
- Conducts daily audits to ensure safety and housekeeping compliance (5S requirements)
- Assists the Plant Director in ensuring a harmonious working relationship within the facility is established
- Coaching the Cell Leaders in identifying and monitoring individual development plans to further improve job performance
- Conducts regular performance appraisals on all his/her direct reports
- Provide strong support to Schneider Performance System (SPS) Manufacturing Product Assessment
- Responsible for the strict application of standardized processes in manufacturing/production processes across a broad scope including for example some basic maintenance processes
- Strong contributor to continuous improvement
Secondary Functions
Maintains close coordination with support groups, such as Methods Engineering, New Product Development, Technical Antenna, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Technology (Maintenance/Test), Supply Chain, and Logistics Departments. Likewise, with Waste Management on the manufacturing process and workmanship-related scrap.
What qualifications will make you successful?
- Possess a bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering or its equivalent
- (5) years of experience in a manufacturing operations role in a fast-paced, high-volume consumer electronics industry, of which 3 years in a supervisory capacity handling a minimum of 50-100 people
- (3) years relevant experience- Manufacturing Production managers or assistants with managing various production activities (e.g., assembly, material forming / shaping, processing, treating, or packaging, etc.) including:
- Planning, directing, and monitoring production to meet established specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards
- Liaising with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply and Logistics, Sales, etc. As input to developing production schedules and allocating labor/capital resources
- Planning, prioritizing and managing production line maintenance/downtime to minimize disruptions
- Must possess high-level skills regarding productivity, efficiency and yield improvement
- Must be proficient in planning, leading, organizing and controlling all resources in manufacturing
- Excellent in both written and oral communication
- Must have the ability to build harmonious working relationships within the organization
- Can keep confidentiality, tact and discretion in dealing with people
- Possess a high sense of urgency and risk-taker
- Must possess good presentation skills
- Work location: Rosario, Cavite
- Working arrangements: Full-time onsite reporting, 6x a week
