Schneider Digital is the digital department of Schneider Electric, leading the digital transformation in the company by giving support globally to our internal teams and our clients. Schneider Digital consists of 6 Digital Hubs worldwide which are strategically located to ensure a 24/7 support across the company (France, China, India, USA, Mexico and Spain). Our Digital Hub in Barcelona is formed by +450 employees working in strategic projects and different roles such as Data, Cybersecurity, ERP, Cloud, Infrastructures, IT Project Management or Digital Marketing.

The Senior Cybersecurity Architect will be responsible for designing, assisting in the deployment, and maintaining the organization's security architecture, ensuring the protection of digital assets against cyber threats. He/She will work closely with other IT and business teams to ensure that security solutions are effective and aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in cybersecurity, particularly in configuring and managing firewalls from leading manufacturers such as Palo Alto and Fortinet. They should demonstrate a strong ability to design robust firewall architectures, including the creation of access rules, security policies, and network segmentation strategies. Additionally, the candidate should be adept at conducting thorough security audits and assessments to ensure the effectiveness of firewall implementations.
What will you do?
Firewall Design and Configuration:
- Configure and manage firewalls from manufacturers such as Palo Alto and Fortinet.
- Design firewall architecture, including access rules, security policies, and network segmentation.
- Conduct security audits and assessments to ensure firewall effectiveness.
DNS Management:
- Configure and maintain secure DNS servers.
- Implement DNS security policies to prevent attacks such as DNS spoofing and DNS cache poisoning.
- Monitor and analyze DNS traffic to detect and mitigate threats.
Cloud-Based Cybersecurity Solutions:
- Design and implement security solutions in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Configure cloud security tools such as web application firewalls (WAF), intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and identity and access management (IAM) solutions.
- Ensure compliance with cloud security standards and regulations.
Security Architecture Documentation:
- Create and maintain detailed security architecture documentation, including diagrams, policies, and procedures.
- Develop configuration guides and manuals for implemented security solutions.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate potential threats.
- Implement proactive and reactive security measures to protect the organization's systems and data.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in cybersecurity to continuously improve the company's security posture.
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- Cybersecurity regulations
Have a deep understanding of cybersecurity regulations and standards such as IEC62443, the Purdue model, NIS2, ISO27001, among others.
Ensure that security solutions comply with these regulations and standards. Participate in audits and compliance assessments to guarantee adherence to applicable regulations - Expertise in DNS management
Proficient in configuring and maintaining secure DNS servers, implementing advanced DNS security policies to prevent attacks like DNS spoofing and DNS cache poisoning, and continuously monitoring DNS traffic to identify and mitigate potential threats - Cloud-based cybersecurity solutions
Experience in designing and deploying security measures in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. They should be skilled in configuring cloud security tools, including web application firewalls (WAF), intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and identity and access management (IAM) solutions. They should be proactive in implementing security measures to protect the organization's systems and data, and stay informed about the latest trends and technologies in cybersecurity to continuously enhance the company's security posture.
