Engineering Sales - Experienced Professional - Commisioning

What will you do?

  • We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commissioning Engineer to join our project delivery team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the testing, inspection, and commissioning of systems and equipment on-site to ensure they meet operational and safety standards. This role involves working closely with project managers, design teams, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless transition from construction to operational readiness.

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and schematics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and work extended hours when required.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory codes (e.g., IEC, ASME, OSHA, etc.)

What's in it for you?
  • Plan and coordinate commissioning activities for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Develop commissioning plans, checklists, and procedures based on project specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead or support system start-up, functional testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure all systems and components are installed and functioning according to specifications.
  • Collaborate with design engineers and construction teams to resolve installation and design issues.
  • Conduct FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) where required.
  • Maintain detailed commissioning documentation, including test results, daily logs, and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and environmental regulations.
  • Train client personnel in operation and maintenance of commissioned systems.
  • Participate in handover and project close-out processes.
  • Test a wide range of I/O (HART, Modbus, FF, Profibus etc), basic control functions, interlocks, sequences, operator interface and other control components on DCS and PLC.
  • Shall be aware of industry standards and practices and (e.g., ISA standards) that apply to control system design.
  • Shall be able to troubleshoot the control and communication problems between different systems during FAT and at site.
  • Willing to travel for site commissioning activities depending upon the project requirements.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
  • 5-8 years of experience for DAT-4 and 8-12 years for DAT-5 in Engineering or commissioning roles in different industry - e.g., oil & gas, construction, data centers, power, etc.
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle and commissioning workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with commissioning tools and software.SE tools and software experiences will be an added plus
