The Opportunity
Schneider Electric is seeking a dynamic Drives Business Development Specialist to join our team in VIC or NSW. In this role, you will work in partnership with customer accounts across Industrial Automation Segments and Channels, forming strong business relationships with site personnel and focusing on Schneider's range of low and medium voltage drives solutions including digital and software solutions.
You will also utilise your business understanding to leverage Schneider's installed base and service offerings within all accounts, together with identifying new project opportunities and new business, expanding our share of solutions and services, and driving overall sales growth in Industrial Automation and Energy Management.
This exciting new career opportunity will see you:
- Develop and manage customer and partner relationships to position Schneider Electric as a trusted business partner.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow account revenue.
- Contribute to national activities for multi-state strategic accounts.
- Co-ordinate customer offers and tenders with other sales team members through account planning and profiling.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, and technical teams to deliver tailored solutions.
Our ideal candidate will possess:
- Proven success in solution and project/long cycle sales within an industrial environment.
- Strong track record in solution selling and account management.
- Tertiary qualification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering (or a relevant discipline) or Electrical trade qualification and 3-5 years of sales experience combined.
- Industry experience in WWW, MMM, O&G, CPG, or Utilities is a big plus.
- Experienced in business development and demonstrated deal-closing expertise.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Ability to translate complex customer needs into smart, scalable solutions.
- Familiarity with sales methodologies like including Value Selling.
