- Interprets customer technical specifications and assists customer in defining detailed application, system, and
hardware requirements
2. Prepares detailed hardware and software specifications on Invensys products
3. Develops software and completes all necessary documentation to meet requirements of the application
specifications
4. Prepares packaging specifications
5. Works with third-party vendors to ensure compatibility with Invensys' solution
6. Assists with basic on-site engineering, including: start-up and application commissioning and hardware assembly
7. Participates in customer acceptance and application testing under the supervision of a Senior Application Engineer
8. Reviews Associate Application Engineers' work to ensure quality and accuracy

9. Interfaces with EEC resources to ensure high-quality and accurate deliverables
10. Anticipates potential changes in project deliverables and timing and makes the Lead Engineer aware of a potential
need to re-contract or secure additional engineering resources
11. Increases project margins by minimizing re-work and complying with Invensys' technical engineering processes and
quality standards
12. Provides Sales with engineering estimates for potential applications opportunities of low complexity, dollar value, or
risk
13. If acting in a lead capacity on a project, refer to key responsibilities for the 'Lead Engineer'
You will be involved in the Turbo machinery applications:
- Design and Development:
- Designing control systems for turbomachinery, including anti-surge, performance, and load-sharing control for compressors, and generator controls for turbines.
- Developing and implementing control strategies for various turbomachinery applications, such as power generation and process facilities.
- Preparing simulations, test scenarios, and test documentation for factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT).
- Optimization and Analysis:
- Analyzing existing data to identify issues and optimize turbomachinery performance.
- Setting up predictive analytics onsite and analyzing findings to make recommendations for improved efficiency and reliability.
- Evaluating control and communication issues between different systems during FAT and at site.
- Technical Expertise:
- Applying knowledge of control systems like Triconex PLC and Foxboro DCS
- Understanding and applying relevant standards like IEC, ISA, and API.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in turbomachinery control.
These skills are not with him at the moment but we expect him to master this thru trainings within Schneider-electric in the next 5 years.
