About the role:
Samsara is looking for a versatile Real Estate Manager to join the Workplace Real Estate, Design & Build Team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting Samsara’s growth by directly managing our global real estate portfolio.
This role will require the ability to navigate ambiguity while focusing on solutions. While managing relationships with both internal and external partners, you will need to articulate issues clearly and support the delivery of spaces that exceed expectations.

In this role, you will:
- Assist with managing complex leases and transactions from site selection to lease execution
- Work closely with brokers and internal stakeholders to perform due diligence on potential locations and provide analysis on local markets, neighborhoods, and cost of expansion
- Understand real estate costs holistically (including capex and opex) and effectively evaluate market-specific strategies
- Review RFPs, financial analysis, LOIs, work letters, and all lease-related documents for the best outcome. Facilitate decommissioning and turnover at lease expiration.
- Effectively communicate and liaise with landlords, serviced office providers, and potential subtenants on behalf of the business
- Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices
Minimum requirements for the role:
- 5+ years of experience in Real Estate, including lease negotiations and transactions
- Fluent in lease language and interpretation
- Strong skills in data analysis, critical thinking, and project management
- Be proactive, creative, and collaborative
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Samsara’s Compensation Philosophy: Samsara’s compensation program is designed to deliver Total Direct Compensation (based on role, level, and geography) that is at or above market. We do this through our base salary + bonus/variable + restricted stock unit awards (RSUs) for eligible roles. For eligible roles, a new hire RSU award may be awarded at the time of hire, and additional RSU refresh grants may be awarded annually.
We pay for performance, and top performers in eligible roles may receive above-market equity refresh awards which allow employees to achieve higher market positioning.
