As a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will lead sourcing strategy and execution across Salesforce's Meetings & Events spend portfolio, supporting high-impact initiatives across the Salesforce enterprise, including but not limited to Global Events, the CMO Organization, and the Office of the CEO. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Sourcing, you'll be responsible for managing end-to-end sourcing initiatives, strategic and experiential agency relationships. This role will drive efficiency, innovation, and value while ensuring operational excellence and strategic influence with internal stakeholders. Enjoy the flexibility of our hybrid work model, connecting in the Atlanta or Indianapolis office three days a week. This balance allows for both in-person collaboration and work from home flexibility.
Your Impact:
- Serve as a trusted sourcing advisor to stakeholders, building strong partnerships and influencing strategic decisions.
- Own the sourcing process across Meetings & Events categories, from business requirements gathering through RFP/RFI, contract negotiation, and implementation.
- Identify and deliver measurable cost savings, cost avoidance, and value creation without compromising experience or quality.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Privacy, Security, Risk, and Marketing to ensure sound contracting and policy alignment.
- Manage supplier relationships and performance, including defining KPIs and implementing continuous improvement plans.
- Develop and drive category strategies, including supplier diversity and sustainability initiatives within the Meetings & Events landscape.
- Stay on top of industry trends, new experiential technologies, and venue innovations to help stakeholders make informed sourcing decisions.
- Drive sourcing excellence by creating and managing project timelines, conducting negotiations, and ensuring contract compliance and record-keeping.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of strategic sourcing experience with a strong focus on Meetings, Events, and Experiential Marketing categories.
- Deep understanding of event and production agency models, cost structures, and negotiation levers.
- Strong negotiation and project management skills, with proven experience closing sourcing projects efficiently and with impact.
- Ability to influence and lead across functions, aligning multiple stakeholders behind strategic sourcing decisions.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with comfort engaging senior stakeholders.
- Expertise in strategic sourcing methodologies and tools; advanced Excel, contract lifecycle management, and data visualization skills preferred.
- Passion for customer experience, innovation, and continuous learning in a dynamic environment.
