Job Duties: Independently deliver high-quality features by being a high-performing hybrid Engineer. Drive your own designs and take on features with greater complexity. Solve implementation problems and troubleshoot any problems that arise. Analyze, design, and develop test cases and implement automated test suites. Aid in the fulfillment of at least one measure on your Manager's V2MOM. Manage the complexities of delivering features-slicing stories and epics, defining tasks, and exposing dependencies and risks. Document business processes and wireframe system designs using process flow diagram tools, UML, sequence diagrams, etc. as well as make recommendations for future state improved processes and system designs. Design and implement cloud-based solutions for large scale distributed systems using AWS. Contribute to PRBs/RCAs through resolution. Solve complex problems and implement critical functionality. Resolve issues when you detect gaps in your tooling and instrumentation. Write design specifications for features and do research spikes, when needed. Assess and evaluate feature requests and issues to make sure they're feasible. Ensure effective resolution of production incidents (demonstrating clear communication, good judgment, and managing to TTx). Understand modern technologies, design patterns, and Engineering Best Practices. Apply best practices to your designs and implementations. Regularly assess the quality of the code in your area and bring actionable improvement suggestions to the team's planning sessions. Proactively monitor your features in production and suggest and implement ways to monitor more effectively. ˆHQ address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in San Francisco: 350 Mission Street, 415 Mission Street, and 50 Fremont Street. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in San Francisco. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field.
A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)).
Special Skill Requirements: (1) Java; (2) Kubernetes; (3) Large-Scale Distributed Systems; (4) OOP; (5) Microsoft SQL Server; (6) Big Data/Machine Learning; (7) Experience designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems architectures; (8) AWS Cloud; (9) Proficiency in object-oriented and multi-threaded programming in at least one of the following languages: Java, Python, or Golang; and (10) Troubleshooting or debugging. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.
Salary: $157,600.00 - $236,500.00 per annum.
