The Content Experience (CX) team is looking for an experienced Senior Manager to lead a team of writers for the Technology CX organization. Technology CX writers deliver content to enable our internal developers to be more productive, spanning the areas of Agentforce, Security, Availability, Hyperforce, and the Core and Falcon developer lifecycle content. We also support key operations content for the Technology organization. We create in-tool assistance, paved paths, runbooks, developer guides, Trailhead modules, videos, Confluence spaces, blog posts, newsletters, and more. You will:
- Inspire, coach, mentor, and provide professional development for a team of 8-12 writers and content strategists.
- Work with your team and stakeholders to determine direction and priorities for your team.
- Monitor content performance metrics to identify opportunities to refine your content.
- Be an advisor to your cloud's executive leadership for content priorities.
- Regularly report on V2MOM priorities, deliverables, roadmaps, and content coverage.
- Champion a user-centric approach to content development, ensuring our Technology content is intuitive, findable, and meets the needs of our global engineering team.
- Recruit, hire, and onboard new writers as the team grows.
- Partner with the Sr Director of Technology and the CX leadership team to align on overall Technology CX direction and priorities.
Required Experience/Skills:
- 6+ years of experience in technical writing for developers and other technical audiences
- 2+ years of management experience with leading content for fast paced products/services
- Ability to manage priorities, stakeholders relationships, and reporting to executives
- Proven leadership and mentoring skills
- Excellent communication, analytical, interpersonal, and team development skills
- Sound judgment and strong decision-making ability
- Strong customer advocacy skills
- Great organizational abilities
- Cross-functional team experience and influence
- Track record of improving existing styles, processes, and teams
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or communications field
Desired Experience/Skills:
- Familiarity with Salesforce products, ecosystem, and infrastructure
- Experience with service documentation, preferably on AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Experience with generative AI and LLM-based solutions
- Experience with source control software such as Perforce or GitHub
- Experience with authoring tools such as Markdown, Confluence
- Experience with collaboration tools such as Slack and StackOverflow

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $155,400 to $213,800.
For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $169,600 to $233,200.
Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
