Managing Director, Industry Business Consulting (Customer Value Assurance)

If so, we are looking for a leader to join our Industry Business Consulting organization to grow and deepen key client relationships within our Financial Services business.
The Team
The Salesforce Industry Business Consulting team members serve as 'trusted advisors' and strategic partners with client senior executives. We inspire and help our clients to achieve focused business outcomes by leveraging the power of the Salesforce platform. We are a team of tenured consulting and industry practitioners with rich domain expertise. Working together with our core and extended teams, we establish business and solutions credibility to build trust with clients at all levels in order to drive deeper strategic engagement to resolve a joint solution recommendation, business case, and roadmap for change.
What we are looking for
The Managing Director, Customer Value Assurance role brings an atypical combination of skills and experience to their work, including:
- Strategy and business consulting or equivalent background
- Executive presence and communications skills to win trust and develop value-added partnerships with the C-level and other Business and Technology Leaders
- Client relationship health and governance including experience coordinating a cross-functional team to: share market, industry, and peer benchmark insights; track and report on value realization; arrange a semi-annual educational series oriented to business and/or IT audiences; and, assess Salesforce platform optimization and adoption
- Sales acumen from an understanding of technology sales cycles and how decisions get done
- Financial Services industry experience is an added plus
What you will be doing:
Executive Relationship Development
- Executive Advisor - Develop relationships and trust with senior client executives and key sponsors to give them confidence & conviction wrt Salesforce
- Account Strategy - Collaborate with the extended team on strategy for executive engagement, influence, value realization, and partner collaboration & alignment
Consultative Engagement
- Leadership Alignment - engage with C-level executives and other senior business and technical leaders to: align on a mutual vision and set of OKRs for our partnership; re-align on the client's 'top of mind' imperatives; report on the impact derived from using Salesforce and progress addressing issues; and, identify action items to support our ongoing partnership health and governance.
- Cross-Functional Team Coordination - oversee the work and deliverables of cross- functional team members from business value services, enterprise architecture and customer success who will be performing various assessments and deriving recommendations in support of customer value assurance semi-annual meetings
- Consulting / SI Partner Collaboration - Help our partners understand and advocate for the broader role of Salesforce as a 'strategic platform', and to position our fit in the client's often complex enterprise architecture
Experience/Skills Required:
- Minimum 15 years Consulting and/or Industry Leadership experience driving innovation within a well-respected Financial Services company
- Hands-on leader with a "get it done" operating style. Willing to balance executive engagement and 'roll up your sleeves' work.
- Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to structure complex problems, develop hypotheses, and present well-supported recommendations
- Outstanding written, verbal communication, presentation skills in front of audiences ranging from small executive meetings to very large keynote presentations
- Self-starter with ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong orientation to deliver value for customers, and produce high quality deliverables
- Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform and products
- Undergraduate degree, advanced degree preferred

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $250,950 to $335,720.
Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
