The Director, IT Product Management role will lead a team of Product Managers and Product Analysts in Salesforce Business Technology focused on Financial close and process optimization across financial applications ( Planning /Forecasting , Budgeting ,Accounting) system to system integration capabilities. This is a people and product leadership role. The role is primarily responsible for business stakeholder engagement, portfolio planning, roadmaps, influencing the balance of scope-budget-timelines, strategic planning, staffing, and agile-based delivery outcomes.

In office expectations (Dallas, TX, Indianapolis, IN or Atlanta, GA) are 10 days/a quarter to support customers and/or collaborate with their teams. This is not a remote opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Build, lead, and manage a team of outstanding individuals providing product management and analysis for groundbreaking enterprise projects and capability improvements.
  • Drive the technical strategy and cross-functional delivery approach across Finance processes ( Plan to Perform , Record to Report)
  • Experience with Business Applications that help and lead Finance deliverables (i.e. Planning/forecasting, budget, Accounting, etc.) like Netsuite, Workday, Oracle or SAP
  • Proficient in how applications share data and communicate, knowledgeable of Data Management practices and Reporting Strategies
  • Partner closely with "Shared Service" teams to define and deliver objectives around Architecture, Infrastructure, Data management and Information Security
  • Develop and facilitate timely decision-making across a broad network of stakeholders, delivery partners, and operational teams.
  • Intimate knowledge of business policies, processes, and programs with discernment of the different personas for each
  • Represent and lead diverse delivery functions in program/project core team and executive steering committee meetings.
  • Accountability for team integrity, product excellence, decision making, delivery estimates and roadmaps, career development, client communications, and program outcomes
  • Invest in the success of every member of the team, providing opportunities for personal development
  • Collaborate with vendors and industry consultants to continuously learn and find opportunities to advance our strategy and operating model for supporting our business partners.
  • Maintain and lead awareness of industry standard processes and relevant technologies.

Required Skills / Experience

  • 10+ years technology delivery experience with product, architecture, engineering, or operations
  • 5+ years in product management
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or related experience
  • Experience with enterprise SaaS products and Data concepts as well as using IPaaS/SaaS cloud for deployment of cloud solutions at scale
  • Experience in Finance domain - P2P (Plan to Perform), R2R (Record to Report), S2P (Source to Pay), SOX, EPM (Enterprise Performance Management)
  • Experience with enabling operational/external reporting solutions at scale
  • Prior experience handling technology in an "operational" setting driving uptime SLAs, reliability and resilience.
  • Proficiency in spectrum of delivery methods (Agile > Kanban > hybrid > waterfall)
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and 3rd party financial cloud applications is helpful.
  • Experience with budgets, project planning, vendor engagement
  • Experience reviewing enterprise business and technical architectures
  • Clear and concise verbal and written abilities as well as strong presentation skills
  • Ability to travel 10-20%

Desired Skills / Experience

  • Experience in a large IT or product company preferred
  • Salesforce background a plus or clear knowledge of our business, strategy, values, and products
  • Deep understanding of how to work directly with a large number of multi-functional collaborators and drive teams with differing perspectives & methodologies in a unifying direction using influence and partnership.
  • Highly ambitious, flexible, and innovative with a demonstrated bias for action and growing in a matrixed, hub-and-spoke model environment.
  • Experience in global ERP implementation especially implementations related to North America, EMEA, APAC countries with a focus on Finance Transformation.
