Salesforce is seeking a highly motivated Sr. Manager who is passionate about integrated marketing, events, messaging, copywriting, and communications. The Event Marketing and Communications team produces industry-leading marketing campaigns for our in-person and virtual experiences that are the ultimate expression of the Salesforce brand, culture, and core values. The team continually innovates across all marketing channels to connect the right customers and prospects to the right events helping continue to position Salesforce as the global leader in CRM.

As a Sr. Manager, you will help develop the marcomms and messaging strategy and drive execution of all our proprietary event marketing campaigns. You possess excellent communication and copywriting skills, acute attention to detail, unshakable nerves, and an unrestrained desire to master and contribute to marketing standard methodologies of what has made Salesforce events so press-worthy.

Responsibilities: What impact will the candidate make?

  • Support Sr. Director of Event Marketing and Communications as the product marketer for our strategic event portfolio across in-person and digital.
  • Responsible for collaborating with creative and strategic teams to brief, build, pitch, and gain executive agreement of all event messaging and positioning.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams in corporate messaging, product marketing, and more as a subject matter authority to ensure a seamless story is threaded through all campaign assets and touchpoints and resonates with key partners, making adjustments as needed.
  • Lead event marketing studio to collect testimonial footage from customers and community members.
  • Handle budget and work with vendors and agency partners to film onsite at events.
  • Responsible for developing sizzle promos for to promote events within the Strategic Events portfolio.
  • Implement annual attendee experience survey to gain marketable stats and insights to help shape our event strategy.
  • Dig into audience insights and leverage data to further redefine the event value proposition, supporting SF+ roadmap prioritization.
  • Work with cross-functional partners to develop and refine event value propositions, differentiated benefits, and business outcomes for all audiences.
  • Engage directly with enablement teams to develop your POV, test and refine messaging.
  • Craft clear and compelling messages and build externally-facing assets and deliver internal results.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of marketing assets including pitch decks, presentations, and debriefs.
  • Confidently deliver presentations to audiences of all sizes.
  • Support demand gen efforts as needed including paid media, OOH, and email.

Minimum qualifications: What is absolutely necessary to be considered?

  • 7+ years of experience in integrated marketing and event communications.
  • Excels at keeping your eye on the big picture objectives while also diving into the details that can critically impact the success of our marketing campaigns
  • Strong copywriting ability and Google slides experience.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and manage expectations with project partners.
  • People contributor with experience working with highly cross-functional teams.
  • Leader with a problem-solver mindset and proven track record at performing well in a fast-paced dynamic environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities; is flexible and resilient.
  • Exceptional project and time management skills - highly organized, detail focused, results-driven, and accountable.
  • Ability to work against tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and work on multiple initiatives and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to quickly grasp information across a variety of disciplines and create clear communications. Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a solid ability to deal professionally with senior executives, vendors, and team members at all levels of the organization
  • Is a collaborator, and no job is too small.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel 20-30%.

Preferred qualifications: What would be helpful to have to be considered?

  • Experience working in marketing at a technology company.
  • Experience working across all major marketing channels including email, social, paid media, OOH, influencer, and more.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $164,000 to $225,500.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
