The Carrier Relations Manager at RPS is responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with insurance carriers to ensure competitive pricing, facilitate access to coverage, and support producer recruiting. This role involves strategic collaboration with carriers, internal RPS teams, and clients to drive business growth and maintain strong carrier partnerships.
How you'll make an impact
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers to ensure competitive pricing and access to a wide range of coverage options tailored to RPS's unique market needs.
- Collaborate with RPS producers and internal teams to support recruiting efforts and enhance carrier relationships specific to RPS's business model.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with carriers to secure favorable agreements and ensure compliance with RPS standards and practices.
- Monitor carrier performance and address any issues or concerns to maintain high service levels, ensuring alignment with RPS's strategic goals.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and carrier offerings to provide strategic insights and recommendations that benefit RPS.
- Coordinate with RPS underwriting, claims, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration with carriers.
- Organize and lead regular meetings with carriers to review performance, discuss opportunities, and address any challenges, focusing on RPS's objectives.
- Provide training and support to RPS internal teams on carrier-related matters, including coverage nuances and carrier-specific requirements.
- Prepare and present reports on carrier performance, market trends, and other relevant metrics to RPS senior management.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on carrier relations, underwriting, or account management, preferably within RPS or a similar organization.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with carriers and RPS internal teams.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance products, market trends, and carrier offerings relevant to RPS's business.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions that align with RPS's strategic initiatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications used within RPS.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, reflecting RPS's culture and values.

- Professional designations such as CPCU, ARM, or CIC.
