The Royal Caribbean Group's Celebrity Cruises brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Lead, Beverage Operations on the Food and Beverage Team reporting to the Director, Beverage Operations.

This position will work on-site in Miami, Florida

Position Summary:

The Lead, Beverage Operations role is responsible for overseeing and managing Celebrity Cruises beverage program both shipboard and shoreside.

The role will be directly responsible in co-creating the beverage operation strategy and leading its implementation in our ships. The objective is to continuously elevate our beverage program to ultimately deliver first-class quality and variety of beverages and services, reflecting the premium nature of Celebrity Cruises.

This lead will not only focus on our day-to-day operations but also on maximizing commercialization and revenue streams of all beverage products, including cost management, and leveraging vendor relations to develop an immersive beverage program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Know Celebrity Cruises beverage inventory list.
  • Make recommendations and improve inventory based on demand and opportunity.
  • Knowledgeable about the beverage program onboard CCI.
  • Demonstrate a friendly personality, strong knowledge of food and beverage pairings, and good interpersonal skills.
  • Train crew onboard on the beverage-making process and creating exquisite food and beverage pairings.
  • Deliver a unique beverage program across the cruise industry.
  • Self-starter and be able to fulfill responsibilities with little direction.
  • Perform each essential duty in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a global environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of the beverage industry.
  • Ability to operate in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple responsibilities at once.
  • Understand the needs of each restaurant and paired beverages according to the cuisine.
  • Oversee and drive gross Beverage Revenue for the Fleet
  • Oversee and control Beverage Cost for the Fleet
  • Build financial models including pro forms and operating budgets.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain on product sourcing and cost structure

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Certificates required WSET Level 1 or higher, Court of Master Sommeliers
  • At least 6 years of extensive experience in beverage service. (The cruise industry is a plus)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the shoreside team and shipboard.
  • Experience and/or training in the hospitality field is considered a plus.
