Job Summary:
We're looking for a Sr. Product Designer to join our Payments & Support squad, a critical team responsible for designing intuitive and trustworthy experiences around Cash Back activity, payments, and member support. You will lead design for key member-facing areas, including account pages, Cash Back tracking, and payment flows. This role requires a strong understanding of user needs, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to balance user experience with complex technical and business requirements.

You'll be a champion for our members, ensuring clear and transparent communication, especially around Cash Back earnings and payment processes. You will set the design vision for these areas, driving improvements based on user research, data analysis, and a deep understanding of our business goals.
This role reports to the Senior Manager, Product Design and will work directly with a product manager, engineers, researchers, and UX writers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Execution & Quality: Own the execution and delivery of designs for key areas including the member account page, Cash Back activity tracking experience, and payment/withdrawal flows. This includes creating wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity designs.
- Lead Design Vision & Strategy: Define and champion the design vision for the Payments & Support squad, aligning with overall product strategy and business objectives. Translate user research, data insights, and business goals into compelling design solutions.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of how our earnings and payment systems work. Become the go-to person for any and all questions related to earnings & payments. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies in these areas.
- User Research & Testing: Collaborate with the research team to conduct user research, usability testing, and A/B testing to inform design decisions and validate solutions. Advocate for a user-centric approach throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with product managers, engineers, UX writers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on design goals and deliverables. Effectively communicate design rationale and advocate for the best possible user experience. Partner with other squad leads on process improvement.
- Mentorship & Guidance: Mentor and guide other designers on the team, fostering a culture of design excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with design and prototyping software, e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, InVision, After Effects, Principle, Framer X, Zeppelin.
- Excellent communication skills, an engaging presentation style, and strong visual storytelling.
- Deep proficiency in Figma and working with design-engineering workflows.
- Comfortable leading work across platforms (native app, web, browser extension).
- A strong sense of visual and interaction design, with a track record of raising the bar.
- Builder mindset: low ego, fast iterating, and always looking to unblock teams.
- Opinionated but collaborative-able to set a vision while inviting contribution.
- A solid understanding of user research methodologies (both quantitative and qualitative) and experience facilitating user testing sessions.
- Experience utilizing and contributing to design systems.
- Understanding of basic front-end constraints - comfortable pairing with engineers and making tradeoffs. You know the constraints of developing for multiple devices and how to create a unified experience across them.
- Design experience within an e-commerce or marketplace with a mobile-first mentality.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or (equivalent work experience) in a design discipline including but not limited to: Human-Computer Interaction, Information Architecture, UI / UX, Graphic Design or Digital Media Arts.
- 6+ years of experience designing digital products (web and iOS/Android) in close partnership with Product and Engineering.

Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location. The successful applicant for this role will be eligible for discretionary bonus, health, vision, dental insurance, 401k matching, PTO, Volunteer Time Off (VTO), and other employee benefits as the company implements.
USD $105,435.00 - $179,740.00 annually
