Job Summary:

The Account Manager will be part of Rakuten Advertising's commercial team, growing business relationships and collaborations with leading finance, travel and technology Advertisers. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers and digital marketing teams within your assigned client portfolio. This role oversees a portfolio of clients that partner with Rakuten Advertising for their affiliate marketing program.

In this role, you will gain experience collaborating with various internal groups to ensure client expectations are exceeded.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and track affiliate marketing program strategic action plans for a portfolio of clients
  • Daily client interaction via phone and email managing program management requests
  • Collaborate with client to set, meet, and exceed aggressive revenue goals leveraging strategic initiatives.
  • Provide strategic thought leadership/recommendations to increase each client's profitability while reducing risk
  • Create and present professional and insightful business reviews for client's program performance that align with strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong partner relationships for your portfolio of clients.
  • Collaborate effectively across the Rakuten Advertising business; client services, analytics, compliance, technology, marketing, sales, etc.
  • Affiliate technology savviness serving as an SME for Rakuten Advertising's proprietary software supporting your clients to make sure they know the tools and resources available to them.
  • Subject matter expert for products across Rakuten Advertising, using available resources to connect product usage to client goals

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):

  • Desire to work supporting financial services, travel and technology clients
  • Analytical and strategic affiliate marketing skills demonstrating successful client portfolio results
  • Highly organized with respect to client management and administrative projects
  • Ability to prioritize and strategize based on client goals; deadline driven
  • A desire to think creatively, solve problems, and use professional judgment.
  • Tech savvy; comfortable using Excel and PowerPoint for client-facing reports, analysis and presentations
  • Exemplary written and oral presentation and a talent for presenting.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 4-6 years of affiliate marketing experience with a focus on client service, (financial services affiliate marketing experience is a plus)
  • Strong understanding of affiliate marketing technology
  • A bachelor's degree or relevant experience
