Sr. Maintenance Mech/Mold Tech

Overview

As a Sr. Maintenance Mech/Mold Tech, you’ll be responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, and maintaining the plant manufacturing equipment. This position will be responsible for providing in-depth knowledge focused on the mechanical and electrical aspects of sustaining equipment.  This position is expected to be proactive and perform their work at a high level with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks to increase Equipment Uptime and Reliability
• Perform periodic Preventative Maintenance tasks.
• Provide direct technical support to associated manufacturing equipment
• Provide in-depth troubleshooting skills to make mechanical/electrical repairs to complex equipment.
• Communicate issues/improvements/ideas between department members and Supervision.
• Responsible for reviewing Corrective Work Orders via CMMS software and update as required.
• Troubleshoot equipment/machinery to determine root cause and improve performance
• Collaborate with team members to improve equipment reliability
• Work alongside the Production team in resolving equipment issues.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Follow Safety Policies and Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
• Hands-On experience with extensive troubleshooting skills
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Industrial Maintenance role
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform electrical/mechanical maintenance on machinery
• Knowledge and ability to understand Electrical/Mechanical Drawings
• Vast Experience working with manufacturing equipment and performing repairs  
• Advanced and proven technical troubleshooting experience/skills
• Knowledge and experience with computers (Ability to research parts, machines, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others.
• Ability to complete tasks safely and in a timely manner.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
• Working toward a Technical Degree or equivalent work experience
• Experience with Extrusion and related equipment, heavy machinery
• Problem solving experience and strong background in mechanical discipline
• Knowledge in Continuous Improvement (Improve equipment with new designs/modifications)
• 15+ Years Industrial Maintenance and Mechanical Experience
