Regional Manager

Overview

The Regional Manager will provide leadership and direction to the Rain Bird sales teams in this region. Primary responsibilities will include the development and implementation of a strategic business plan, and the effective management of sales personnel, and their performance. The successful candidate must be willing to travel extensively, and must excel at hiring, and developing a high performing sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Justify new positions, and recruit high performing employees.
  • Lead, develop and motivate the sales team.
  • Implement corporate policies, ensure adherence to strategic guidelines, and develop a succession plan for the organization.
  • Develop and successfully execute a regional strategic plan that will achieve sales and market share growth goals.
  • Justify and execute promotional programs intended to drive sales and assure market share gain,
  • Regularly present factual, informative sales reports, strategic plan updates, market share analyses, competitor updates, and business intelligence reports.
  • Frequently work in market and establish a management presence with top accounts and key business contacts.
  • Develop and Manage Distribution in multiple territories and identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Strategic Business Units (SBUs) to ensure that market needs are supported. and that SBU objectives are being met.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8+ experience in sales management.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • BA or BS engineering degree or similar qualification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong business and organizational acumen.
  • Aptitude for quantitative analysis, strategic and tactical thinking, and detailed planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to hire, develop, build, and motivate sales teams.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and leadership skills.
  • Motivated, results-oriented, self-starter who takes ownership of the jobs requirements.
  • Ability to live in Istanbul, while traveling extensively.
  • Willingness to accept new challenges, and a strong desire to grow within the organization.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in working within a multinational organization.
  • P&L Experience.
  • Irrigation Industry experience within this territory.
