Senior Research Associate, Simoa Technology

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Research Associate to join our Research team within the Technology group. This position will involve research and development of novel chemistries enabling future generations of ultrasensitive biomarker quantification systems. This role will collaboratively interface with Engineering, Assay Development, and Software in team settings. This is a great opportunity to work at an innovative organization whose mission is focused on employing high sensitivity diagnostic tools for precision medicine. The candidate will be working on challenging scientific problems together with their manager, who is devoted to mentoring a junior scientist and promoting their professional growth.

What You'll Do:

• Running experiments in the lab; analyzing and interpretating the data under the direction of the manager
• Characterization of novel single molecule label methods
• Assay development and technology transfer on new Simoa platforms
• Collaboration with engineers in the Technology group and Engineering group on next generation platform hardware and software development
• Interacting with Assay Development group to understand and transfers guidelines for assay development on new Simoa platforms
• Perform routine protein analysis on key reagents
• Draw scientific conclusions from experiment results
• Effectively communicate scientific findings with team members in cross-functional team meetings

What We'll Expect From You:

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related fields
• 2 or more years of experience in research laboratories or industry laboratories required
• Can independently design and execute complex experiments
• Must be self-motivated to be successful in this role
• Must have attention to details and the ability to do critical thinking
• Comfortable with multi-tasking and tackling challenging scientific problems
• Excellent organization and record keeping skills
• Basic understanding of sandwich immunoassays
• Previous experience with ELISA is a plus
• Experience with assay development or system development is a plus
• Ability to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary environment
• Must be able to work on our Billerica MA site full time (no remote working)
