This position involves managing the timely creation and release of production work orders, ensuring material availability to support daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules for in-house manufacturing. Utilizing ORACLE ERP and E2Open advance planning systems, the Senior Supply Planner/Master Scheduler analyzes production plans, material requirements, and material availability to support production activity and execution processes. Collaboration with engineering, purchasing, and production is essential to facilitate changes, ensuring appropriate configuration and communication of material requirements. Additionally, the role includes working with production leads on scheduling, capacity requirements planning, and providing input to management regarding delays in materials deliveries and/or production schedules.

Beyond planning and scheduling responsibilities, the Senior Supply Planner/Master Scheduler contributes to managing, controlling, and reporting companywide inventories and related activities. This involves interacting with various functions such as product managers, warehousing and logistics, sales, sales operations, tactical and strategic purchasing, and finance. The role extends to performing advanced business analytics and analysis to derive actionable insights and recommendations related to production planning and inventory management. The Senior Supply Planner/Master Scheduler collaborates closely with the management team, strategic purchasing, and internal customers to identify and implement strategic objectives for improving planning, scheduling, and inventory performance. The role also includes handling special analytical projects and assisting in the implementation or development of systems, tools, applications, and processes for moderately complex data capture and business analysis. With above-average knowledge of APICS and MRP planning systems, the Senior Supply Planner/Master Scheduler plays a crucial role in aligning and optimizing ORACLE ERP and E2PR advance planning systems across all business areas. This encompasses master data management and ERP planning system setup to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and predictability in production planning, materials requirements planning, and inventory control. The work involves a balance of independent and collaborative efforts.

Base Pay Range 83,000 - 120,000

This pay range also depends on various factors such as job duties and requirements, relevant experience and skills and geographic location. Responsibilities

  • Create and manage detailed master production schedules, considering forecast and customer demand, production capacities, and material availability.
  • Assess and plan capacity requirements for internal and external manufacturing, determining resources needed to meet production requirements.
  • Work with production to establish daily, weekly, and monthly schedules.
  • Collaborate with CM and OEM suppliers, negotiating delivery and managing due dates.
  • rack and report material shortages, addressing discrepancies; may prepare reports as requested.
  • Evaluate MRP and ERP systems output to ensure correct material is available in production to support schedules.
    Develop and implement processes and controls for timely and cost-effective inventory movement.
  • Implement best practices for monitoring shipment modes to minimize freight costs.
  • Work with site planning or ERP systems managers to develop and implement controls and systems for efficient production planning and inventory movement.
    Exercise judgment within defined practices and procedures to set appropriate working priorities.
  • Manage personal time and resources efficiently to complete assigned projects accurately and on time.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree In Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience
  • 5 to 10 years' experience in material planning, inventory planning, and production scheduling.
  • Advanced ability to evaluate, prioritize, and problem-solve a variety of tasks to ensure timely completion.
  • Ability to effectively communicate cross-functionally across a wide variety of internal customers.
  • Provide instructions and directions to colleagues in the planning and procurement organization and other functional areas and/or regions.
  • Works on problems of diverse scope; must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Knowledgeable in Supply Chain Management (SCM) and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficient in production planning, production scheduling, and shop floor control.
  • Advanced knowledge of ORACLE Production and Materials Planning Module and other interfacing modules.
  • Proficient in key measurements and metrics related to production planning and control systems.
  • Advanced understanding of planning parameters, order modifiers, and data integrity as it relates to MRP planning systems master data.
