Staff Accountant, Financial Reporting

White Plains, NY

About the role:

This position requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, experience in an accounting or finance position. Internship is a plus! The ideal candidate for this would be a self-starter with "can-do" attitude and strong work ethic with knowledge and experience of superior analytical and problem-solving skills to find solutions to various accounting problems and prioritize work.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Analyze discrepancies and resolves issues in a timely manner.
  • Record fixed assets and depreciation.
  • Support timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close.
  • Perform financial compliance and regulatory reporting activities.
  • Stay updated on changes in regulations and standards.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Monitor, review and analyze to identify and create schedules for potential unclaimed property liability.
  • Assist in all ad hoc projects.

  • A bachelor's degree from accredited college in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
  • Minimum 3.2 undergraduate GPA
  • 1-3 years of prior accounting experience preferred, but we would also consider exceptional candidates.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including experience working with pivot tables and vlookup.
  • Proven experience in bank reconciliation a plus.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based accounting platforms [Intacct knowledge a plus]

The base salary for this role can range from $60K - $80K, based on a full-time work schedule. An individual's ultimate compensation will vary depending on job-related skills and experience, geographic location, alignment with market data, and equity among other team members with comparable experience.
