POLITICO Live is looking for a Pro Events intern to join its Brussels-based events team starting in August 2024 for a 4-month period.

POLITICO Live is the live extension of our journalism, providing a platform for coverage and analysis of the ideas and people driving politics and policy. Our mission is to amplify the impact of our journalism and illuminate, through our diverse event formats, the most important political and policy issues facing Europe.

We are looking for an intern to join the Brussels-based team and support developing and executing events for our Pro audience and tracking results and impact. This person will have significant exposure to POLITICO's marketing, advertising and logistics. Interested in organizing impactful and unique events in Brussels, London and Paris? • Events planning and scheduling for our Pro audience :
• Supporting in the organization of Pro events under the supervision of the Pro Events Director: manage practical arrangements such as the location, catering, badges, AV, welcoming the participants, preparing event material, organizing delivery, set up and dismantling, briefing providers, manning activations onsite, etc.;
• Calendar management for different purpose: setting up events dates, scheduling calls to brief staff members, scheduling internal meetings, creating road books, one-pager, ...
• Team support in handling and improving all communications around Pro events, database and mailbox management, producing marketing briefs and clear communications around the events (marketing emails, newsletter insertions, social media and websites, ...)
• Post event actions (reporting, comparing, adapting formats, analyzing guests' profiles and needs) and liaison with product department

• The ability to multitask and must have excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills.
• Naturally organized with a penchant for project management in an international environment, a hands-on mindset and a passion for experimentation
• Growth mindset - enthusiasm for challenges and work ethic with a 'can do' attitude
• Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages, such as French, German, Spanish and/or Italian is preferred
• Appreciated skills: first-experience in operations, community or event management (in school/university/association, ...) as well as strong interest in EU affairs
